CSI history

 

   The Colloquium Spectroscopicum Internationale (CSI) stands as one of the most prestigious and long-standing global forums dedicated to the advancement of analytical spectroscopy. Since its inception in 1949, this premier biennial conference has served as a vital bridge between fundamental research and practical applications. CSI focuses on the latest breakthroughs in atomic and molecular spectroscopy, imaging techniques, and plasma spectrochemistry, providing a comprehensive overview of the field´s evolution. Its significance lies in fostering a vibrant international community where world-renowned scientists, your researchers, and industry leaders exchange ideas to solve complex analytical challenges.

   As we look forward to the 2027 edition, CSI continues its tradition of excellence, driving innovation and shaping the future of spectroscopic sciences. The 45th edition in 2027 carries a special historical significance as it marks the return of the CSI to Prague after exactly 50 yeras. By hosting the event in the heart of the Czech Republic, we aim to build upon the remarkable legacy of the 20th CSI held in Prague, Czechoslovakia, in 1977.
