Welcome to Prague

on the occasion of the 45th Colloquium Spectroscopicum Internationale

Dear colleagues, scientists, and spectroscopy enthusiasts,

it will be an honor for us to host the 45th Colloquium Spectroscopicum Internationale (XLV. CSI) in Prague, Czech Republic.

Prague, for its position in the very heart of Europe, was always important city. Tradition in basic and applied research, this city has the potential to create exceptional hub for future science. Having this in mind, we will be proud to welcome researchers from all over the world, coming to share ideas and knowledge in vast variety of spectroscopic techniques and variations.

Speaking of history, it will be 50 years since the very successful 20th CSI held in Prague. The 20th CSI was organized together with the International Conference on Atomic Spectroscopy (ICAS) and several thematic small symposia. This is a good praxis that was then exercised on future conferences and it is also our aim when pursuing recent trends in interdisciplinary research.

We would like to host a scientific conference with the aim of establishing and strengthening the scientific cooperation leading to excellence on academic and commercial level.
